How do I file a formal complaint?

I paid for an Inspiron 5755 on Dec 12, 2015 ... I had problem the first day with it and complained within 10 days

it took 5 months for an agent to tell that I had to ask within the first 30 days to get a new replacement .. so they would only provide refurbished ones

since then and until today, I have sent a laptop back at least 5 times and had more that 6 motherboards and touchpad ... the touchpad problems are the same on all of them

on top of that, my rep says nice things in emails but, basically, called me a liar twice on the phone

at times, she would not respond to emails until I filed a complaint with Better Business ... at least she responds to emails but nothing is better

I sent my last laptop back to Dell as it too was bad ... FedEx confirms that Dell got it back but my reps will not tell me its service tag even though I have explicitly asked for it more than 6 times in the last 7 days

my rep says that I have to file a police report but she refuses to tell me if I sent it back or not

this has been going on for over 10 months and I have literally lost hundreds of hours installing/uninstalling systems, files & software ... on top of that, I have lost hundreds of dollars in Internet subscriptions that I can use

it is a disgrace that a faithful Dell customer has been treated this way ... I have 4 other Dell laptops that I now use and don't have any complaints about them ... but I am already frustrated by Dells reps and failure to give me what I paid for 10+ months ago

Dear Support Team,

I have purchased the Dell Inspiron 15" 7559 laptop in Dec 2015, in USA, later came back to India. Till couple of weeks before i had no issues, today i found missing Wi-Fi, settings and icon, not sure how it was disappeared. I could only suspect and remember that i have done online Win10 update when it prompted.

Need your technical help in this.

I have tried, couple of recommendations given in dell portal, by trying to install the network drivers from Dell site, as well Intel site; Network_Driver_MF79M_WN32_18.33.0.1_A03.EXE, Wireless_19.0.1_PROSet64_Win10.exe, respectively.

When i tried to install driver (Network_Driver_MF79M_WN32_18.33.0.1_A03.EXE) from Dell site got error, below is the error log of "Network_Driver_MF79M_WN32_18.33.0.1_A03", for your reference.

When i tried to install driver (Wireless_19.0.1_PROSet64_Win10.exe) from Intel site, got successfully installed message, but still i couldn't see the Wi-Fi settings.

In both cases, restarted the laptop.

Appreciate your suggestion to fix this issue.

[Please Help] Intel Inspiron 11 3000 series Black Screen With Only Cursor w/ other problems

I turn on my laptop and the dell logo pops up and it just goes to a black screen with only my cursor being visible. The other day it was working just fine, then later on the fan starts getting really loud and I turn it off and turn it back on. This is when my nightmare starts, I turn it back on and stays on the dell logo and says "diagnosing your pc". The fan is still running loud, then after a few hours trying to get it work, the fan just stops making noise altogether. I run the system diagnostics and it says my fan and hard drive won't respond. I open up my laptop to what's internally wrong with the fan and hard drive. All I see is the fan doesn't spin, but after several minutes it starts to. I don't see why it says my hard drive won't respond when I fully inspected it and there was no visible damage whatsoever. I put everything back together and keep trying and which it being in the current result that is stated in the beginning. Only thing not mentioned is that the fan is just struggling to spin at a constant rpm. In the diagnostics even though the fan is somewhat spinning, it still indicates the fan and hard drive are unresponsive. This the worst thing for me right now because I'm looking for a job and start college soon.

Unfulfilled Delivery Date

I ordered an expensive DELL laptop trusting the delivery date given on their website (13 days later).

As the confirmation email I received did not show all details of my order, I followed up 3 days later to check them and found out that the laptop would be shipped from the US to Canada, where I live, and that there might be a delay. I asked them to stick to the delivery date and was told that I should receive an email as soon as the item got shipped.

A week later there was no email, so I phoned again and was told this time the laptop was actually being assembled in China and that should take time. I told them any delay was their responsibility and that they should make up for it by, for instance, shipping the item via express mail. I even spoke to one of their supervisors and, in spite of some reluctance on his part, I was left with the impression they would take care of that.

The end result is that the laptop arrived at the Purolator sorting office in Canada (not even my place) one day after the delivery date. I phoned Puralotor and they said there was a option to expedite the delivery but DELL did not choose it. I was told they never do.

I am very disappointed with how careless this company appears to be towards a new customer regarding their delivery commitment and wonder what will happen when I need them for repairs. Not sure if I should have chosen a competitor instead.

My Dell Vostro 2520 will not power up and only makes 3 beeps, repetitively.

This only happened the FIRST time I switched my laptop on from updating Windows 8 to Windows 10.

Continuous beeps at start up and doesn't go to OS

Whenever I turn on my laptop I get a continuous beep sound, I ran diagnostics and said it was ram failure, I swapped out ram with new ram that was fitted for my Dell Inspiron 5110, and it still makes a continuous beeping.

Keyboard stopped working, so I decided to restart he laptop, and now its stuck on the screen Restarting and the wheel isn't even spinning. Even when I hold the power button for 1 min+ it still doesn't shut down... I can't afford to lose anything on this laptop.

Hello i own an dell inspiron 3531 win 8.1. My laptop showed i need to install important updates and i did.. after that my laptop rebooted and it showed me system update 1%. After about 1-2 minutes it shut downs and doesnt open.. i tried every solution but still nothing... please help

Laptop Shuts Down During Diagnostics and freezes after login to windows

I have Dell Studio 1558 laptop with windows 10 installed.

During Diagnostics, test freezes or laptop shuts down during memory test. What do i Do?

Before Hardware Diagnostics i got BSOD System_Service_Exception (afd.sys) during scan by Malwarebytes antimalware.

From that point windows freezes after login.

Please help with the issue.

XPS 13 L322X: battery capacity drop

Hi,

I have a dell XPS 13 L322X that I bought in 2013. Recently I bought a new cooling fan because the original one was very noisy. However, after replacing the cooling fan, I noticed that the battery capacity dropped to less than 10%. Therefore, I decided to buy a new battery. The problem is that the capacity/health of the new battery dropped to 75% in just a few days. I contacted the seller explaining him the situation and he sent me a new battery; however, the new one has already lost almost 50% of its capacity/health in just three days. One thing that I noticed was that the (second) new battery has an Energy (design) of 50,2 Wh whereas the original one and the first battery that the seller sent me both have 47 Wh. Another thing is that while I was calibrating the battery, in the first cycles, the battery was charged only up to 90% and that the capacity loss happens after a reboot: in the end of a cycle there is a decrease in the battery capacity after a reboot. After a reboot, the system shows the battery is fully charged, but with a decreased capacity. Every single cycle the capacity drops. The XPS 13 is running Ubuntu 16.04. Would you have any idea why that’s happening?

Update BIOS for DELL INSPRION N4030 stuck in the middle

Hi All,

Apparently I made a big mistake and try to update my BIOS using DELL BIOS Update sofware.

The process stopped in the middle and then the comptuer shuts down.

Now when I turn on the computer there is no display on computer and there is a single beep every second.

I tried to press the power button 30 seconds while the computer without the battery and without the power plug but nothing has changed, Any ideas ? :(

Dell Inspiron 7559 Windows 10 Anniersary Update PROBLEM.

Hi All,

My problem is ... no, not quite so, my PROBLEM is Windows 10 Anniversary Update gets downloaded, installed and failed again and again. When it goes through Windows Update Center everything goes well but finally after a reboot I get a notification that the system couldn't install the update. No other information or error codes provided. After that Windows Update Center finds the same Anniversary Update and everything goes in circle. I called Microsoft Support three times with different engineers but with the same final result - the problem still unsolved. I used MediaCreationTool utility as well. With this utility the whole process goes well but finally I get popup window that says "Error occurred while installing update". When I tried to reinstall Windows 10 from the image created by MediaCreationTool I got error code 0xd0000034 (finally!!! something I can use to find a solution !!!), but looking through the Internet for this code didn't help to resolve this. Any other updates are installed with no issues. The Problem only with Anniversary Update.

About the hardware.

16Gb, I added extra 8Gb and I installed SSD SanDisk SD8SN8U256G1122 256Gb.

All the rest is standard configuration of 7559 laptop.

Some specifics related to what I did to my laptop. As I mentioned before I installed 8Gb extra memory (identical memory chip to the installed one) and SSD. I purchase license for Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 4.0 and moved my system from hard drive to SSD. After this error free moving the system works without any issues.

I have McAfee Antivirus. I uninstalled it before the update but this had no effect on result of updating.

I upgraded all drivers.

This lasts more than a month. Please recommend how to overcome this.

Inspiron 5547 tries to boot to PXE options after Cloning

Laptop was already on latest BIOS A10.  Cloned using Macrium with the new and old (SATA) drives attached to a separate Windows 7 computer.  New drive is a Sandisk Extreme model SSD.  I've checked and reconnected the drive connector.  On first boot, I think I saw something flash up about something missing but it was fast.  Now it attempts to boot PXE V4, then 6.  I have to hit escape twice then it boots fine to new drive and appears to work normally.  I can hit F12 and pick the drive only option and it works but on next boot reverts to PXE default.  There are no boot options under UEFI boot of course.  LAN option is on or off.  There is no menu for boot order or boot devices in UEFI.  Tried setting default BIOS options.  Tried clearing drive security keys but it had never been set.  Laptop is Windows 8.1.  When I update BIOS, I didn't see it run a second ME (Intel Management firmware) update.  I wonder if there is NVRAM somewhere holding a boot setting for the old drive?  Is there a way to create a boot option for this and if so, what is the path info for it?

Dell XPS 15 9550 Fan Noise

I know this has been mentioned on here multiple times but the fan noise from my laptop when its plugged in is unbearable. When i play a game or watch a video on battery power the laptop stays nearly silent and is a joy to use, as soon as i plug in to charge the battery the fans go crazy.

I can't even play a on graphics hungry game like FM 2017 without the fans running at over 80% power at low temps.

Do i need to return the laptop or is there a fix for this?

How can I connect Inspirion 15R5537 laptop with HDMI out to UP2516D monitor with HDMI(MHL)/DP/mDP input slots, while being able to enjoy 2560x1440 resolution of the above monitor? Originally, monitor comes with mDP to HDMI(MHL) connection cable, but laptop has no mDP slot to connect in.
