I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 and once in a while, there is a blue screen.

I ran Windbg and I saw an error with teamviewer.exe so I contacted Teamviewer tech support and they replied me the following:

"Typically, the error 0xC0000005 is generated by an
illegal "memory access violation". This can be caused by anything
from faulty RAM, an incorrect/corrupt device driver, malware, etc.,
Usually you get this error message when performing a specific task, in this
case, it appears TeamViewer was calling on a specific memory access which caused
the operating system to error.
From the error log, I see you are running TeamViewer version 8.0.20202. You can
try to download the latest version of TeamViewer (Version 8.0.20768) to see if
this may resolve the access violation. However, the issue is not tied directly
to the TeamViewer application / executable process. Therefore, while this may
solve the issue with allowing TeamViewer to execute, it will not resolve the
underlying issue which caused the error in the first place."

So I ran the Automated Scan in Dell Support Center but it didn't find anything.

What else can I try ?

Hi. After googling and searching this forum I've come up with some "close but no cigar" answers to this question. The closest I found was an answer to someone that included screen captures in the answer but the pictures didn't display and when I tested the link to the pictures I got an error saying that I couldn't access "dell.train.com". So, here's hoping...

I have an old Inspiron 8200 that I am fixing up to run some automotive software that requires XP 32 bit. This laptop was originally bought new for my son when he started to college.

I changed out the motherboard and now it shows no service tag info. Can someone tell me how to go about re-establishing the original service tag?

hello, i'v got dell inspirion 3721 win7

i have instaled lastest bios

chipsed drivers are properly installed to .

bios option virtualization is enabled

my problem is that the microsoft havdetectiontool says the cpu does not have hardware virtualaization

i've checked cpu specs on intel site(p997) should got it

hello friends i m having dell inspiron n5010 laptop,it is working perfectly fine but the only problem with it is that it does not have graphics card in it. it has intel graphics in it.

i asked few of my friends if i can upgrage my graphics card but they said it is not possible as graphics card is soldered to the mother board.

now d only option remains is to change the mother board.

so i want to know how much would it cost to me.i also need a grahics card of 1gb.

plz help me wat 2 do.....

I've had spotty problems with my computer temporarily losing wireless service. I read a suggestion that I should update my wireless card driver. I went to the Dell site and downloaded the file I thought was recommended, followed instructions, but when I try to install it, it says that he can't find C:Dell/Drivers/K4H75 even thought I can see it in Windows Explorer. Would anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong? My operating system is Windows Vista Business 32-bit.

USB 3.0 Host Controller Not Found!

Recently, I installed Windows 8 in my Dell Inspiron n5110. After the installation my USB 3.0 port stopped working. I tried installing the driver but nothing is happening. When i click on the USB 3.0 Host Controller Utility, I get an error stating "USB 3.0 Host Controller Not Found!"
It was working fine before I installed WIndows 8.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, still no success. I have the NEC USB 3.0 driver.

Please help me!

Trackpad randomly clicking everywhere

My XPS 13 is two months old. At first, I was able to scroll down a webpage using pg up and down or the space bar, or clicking the scroll bar. Then suddenly my cursor started randomly clicking somewhere in the screen which bounces me out of the area on the page where I can use those shortcuts to move up and down the page. I can use those shortcuts again if I click on the page or in the scroll area. But I have to continually do that to reestablish where my cursor is supposed to be to enable those movements. I can see when my trackpad has randomly clicked, by something subtly changing visually on the screen. As well, while I am composing an email, I am randomly bounced out of the field I have been typing in. Also, I am randomly bounced out of the website address field as I'm typing in addresses or search terms. I use IE. Any suggestions?

I have a Dell N5010 with 1GB Radeon 550v graphics, which is a well known model(family) with heating issues. Recently I had noticed few artifacts whenever I play videos or use applications that use GPU and they started increasing overtime. Yesterday I fired up dell video diagnostics a couple of times and my laptop died. Now on starting it gives 8 beeps at regular intervals and it fails to start. I have confirmed that it is my GPU which got damaged rather than a problem with the LCD by connecting to an external monitor.

I called up Dell representatives today and got a price of 11000 INR quoted for the repair, which I think is on the higher side. Does Dell provide chip level replacement for only the GPU to reduce the costs? Have others facing similar problems found some alternatives, in or around Mumbai?

@#iworkfordell: Can someone provide an simple explanation on what the repair covers? Are there any hidden costs above the quoted price viz. transportation, part prices, etc. The quote has terms like "Golden part replacement required" which I was not able to understand. The quote also mentions that for 17999 INR, we get "1 Year In-Home Hardware Services after Remote Diagnosis + Premium Phone Support", is it equivalent to 1 year of warranty extension + the current repair?

Hi! My old laptop is a Dell Latitude D430.It's original OS is Window Vista.It works fine for a few (2) years then it went blank.I don't have the CD of its OS so I bought a Window7 installer instead and have it reformatted.It opened,and I was able to use it again that time.Then a message appeared on the right low panel of the screen saying "This version of Windows is not genuine."I ignored it and went on yo use my laptop for 3 weeks to almost a month or so,on and off.Then one night,a message appeared on the screen after I turn it on and after the Windows Logo sign...it says: Error Loading Operating System. It won't open anymore.What could have happened? Please help.

My xps 14z is just a few weeks out of warranty and I need a replacement screen - unfortunately it will take 6 weeks for Dell to get me a new one. Is there any chance of getting a refurbished screen faster?? How can Dell fix it within a few days if you still have warranty on it but as soon it is out of warranty it can take up to 6 weeks?

I have a ST tablet that I bought and hard drive failed and do not have recovery media. I reinstalled Win 7 Pro that came with it and the drivers were available online. However the software is not. The Webcam will not work evidentally without this software. My Dell Downloads says this tablet is not supported. Dell is not willing to help me as this is out of warranty by 6 months. All I want is to find a download of the correct Webcam Central that came with it or to buy a resource dvd that is for this unit. I have tried every webcam central that I can find online and none work right. Can anyone please advise or help?

OK guys, I have a Dell Inspiron 1750 Laptop that's having power issues.

My Charger is good, tested with a volt meter (19.46V) but when I plug it into the laptop it wont power on.
I can get the laptop to power on if I charge the battery in another dell laptop so I know the laptop works fine.
I bought and replaced a new DC jack board thinking that was the problem but after installation it still gives me the same issue.

What else could be causing no power?
I tested the New DC charger Board while plugged into the charger and got a reading of 18.69V could this be the problem?

Hello to everyone,

I have a inspiron 5520 computer and recently I reinstalled the operating system (windows 8) and the drivers one by one from the official dell site,
Then I realized that it is possible to recover additional software like "powerdvd" Using "my dell downloads"
When I tried to run "my dell downloads" I received the following message"service tag is already registered or is invalid"
In addition I would like to note that I used the same username that I using at that moment, and as I called to telephone service in Israel, they won't know what to do.
I would be grateful if you can help.

Model : DELL Vostro V131
Here is my problem

When i press shut down, the laptop will shut down as usual but at the end the processor and the lid is still on.. I tried shut down in safe mode but it get stuck at the shut down screen.

and

When i put my laptop into sleep mode, no matter i press what button, it still wont awake..

May i know any solution to resolve this?

I cant send back to DELL Malaysia because currently i m in UK..

Any help and guidance r highly appreciated.. Thank you..

Hi everybody,

I come here to see if someone has the answer to my problem.

I have a new Dell Inspiron 17R SE and everytime I have to boot it twice to make it work.

When I start the first try, I see the Dell Logo for half a second and the screen gets black. After touching the keyboard or the touchpad, "F12 Boot" is written on the screen in the bottom right hand corner which is highlighted when I touch a button.

Then nothing happens, so I turn it off with the power button.

When I try again, it goes well, it appears to be a little bit slow but ok.

Recently I have been having problems with this computer that has led me to believe my video card failed. I ordered and replaced the system board and when I booted it up for the first time I discovered I still had the same issue that I began with, so I began to suspect a corrupted operating system. Every time I booted up I received an error message that referred to a winXP SP3 disk that I have never had, and I couldn't seem to download any new drivers or reinstall SP3 at all. In fact, the add/remove programs menu wouldn't even give me the option to remove SP3. After various troubleshooting efforts, I decided to perform a system restore to the earliest point I could find. The computer took a long time to shut down and I had to go to work before it finished. When I returned home I tried to turn the computer on and all it will do is have the power LED come on. Nothing comes on the screen, no activity occurs or anything. I take that back. With the Dell-supplied windows CD in the drive, the drive appears to try to access the CD, but then stops and nothing happens. If I don't shut the computer down, it will eventually start getting hot as if it were being used heavily. I have not gone back into the computer to check physical connections since it was working just fine before the system restore. Also, I had a full charge on the battery so I know the process wasn't interrupted during the restore process, at least not due to a power failure.

Any ideas on how I can get this machine running again?

I am using a Precision M6600 with an AMD FirePro M8900 graphics card. My laptop sits in a Dell Dock and has two Samsung flat screen monitors connected to the dock using DVI cables. Now, from everything I have researched my laptop should be capable of using more than just two screens. What I want to do is utilize my laptop screen as well as the two monitors. I have done a bunch of research but have been unable to find any clear cut explanations on how to set this up. Any help would be appreciated with this matter.
